Marketur analysis, not fact

Stadia solved a technical problem nobody had ranked first. Players wanted games and a library they trusted would still exist next year, and Google's own shutdown history worked against it. Buying games on a platform that might vanish is a bet, and buyers priced that risk correctly.

What to take from it

Technical excellence does not beat a missing reason to switch.
A vendor's reputation for killing products is a real cost customers price in.
Content and catalogue beat infrastructure in consumer markets.
