Community Setup
Member accounts, a feed, groups, chat, access rules and a mobile experience are each straightforward on their own. Getting them to behave as one product is the hard part, and it is almost entirely configuration rather than code.
This is the most involved service because it touches the most pieces.
What is covered
- Membership foundation – levels, registration and login, and who can see what.
- Community feed – posts, groups, hashtags, profiles and the moderation settings that matter before you have members rather than after.
- Chat – direct messages and group conversations, configured so they do not overwhelm your hosting. Polling settings tuned to your server rather than left at defaults.
- Mobile – an installable app experience with working navigation, and push notifications configured end to end and actually tested on a device.
- Joining up – access rules, redirects and navigation so a new member has a coherent path rather than six disconnected areas.
Who it is for
Anyone building a membership community rather than a content site with comments. If people are meant to talk to each other, come back regularly, and pay for access, this is the setup that supports that.
Worth knowing about hosting: community features generate far more server work than a normal site, and shared hosting fails in ways that look random. Part of this service is configuring for the host you are actually on, and telling you plainly if it will not cope.
How it works
After purchase we agree the scope, collect access, and configure the stack in the order that avoids rework. You get a walkthrough of what was set up and where to change it, because a community you cannot administer yourself is not much use.
