What it actually checks

A score is a summary, not a verdict

The Reality Check is not here to tell you your idea is great. It looks for the parts that decide whether a thing survives contact with real customers, and it reports each one separately, because an average hides the thing that kills you.

01DemandIs anyone actually looking for this, or does it only sound useful?
02CompetitionWho is already doing it, and does an empty field mean untouched or unwanted?
03EconomicsDo the numbers work once you price it honestly?
04Platform dependenceWhose rules can end it overnight? This one deserves more weight than most people give it.
05ReachCan you actually get in front of the people who would buy it?

Free, no account needed. If you want the reasoning behind the scoring, the write-ups on validation go through it properly: what a reality score really means, how to test an idea cheaply, and what to do when someone has already built it.
